Today we are going to try a poached eggs recipe, keto style. This is the quintessential Turkish breakfast, called çilbir, which consists of poached eggs on a yogurt sauce, paprika butter and herb sauce. If you are bored of the daily typical egg dishes made for breakfast, then give this recipe a try.

It is easier to call them Turkish eggs. We could easily get used to this succulent and complete breakfast. The combination of ingredients works like a charm, although at first glance it sounds strange.
It is a different and delicious way to eat eggs. A simple recipe that is humble, nutritious and versatile. A few slices of toast or some type of flatbread, such as a pita or naan, works great. Prick the yolk, let it expand in the bowl and enjoy this original mix of flavours.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1/2 tsp Dill Fresh or dry
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon juice

For Preparing Poached Egg:

  • Water
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Olive oil
  • Plastic bag

For Preparing Chilli Butter Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Chilli Flakes

Instructions

  • Add yogurt, garlic, dill, salt and lemon juice in a bowl to obtain the yogurt sauce.
  • Melt the butter in a pan, fry chilli flakes to make chilli butter sauce.
  • Poach the egg for 2 minutes as shown in the video with the help of a plastic bag for perfect poached egg.

Preparation:

  • Spread chilli butter oil on the yogurt sauce, then place the poached eggs. Pour the remaining chilli butter oil and finish with 1/4 to 1/2 tsp fresh or dry dill and serve with keto bread or toast.
